About me

I took my degree in Psychology and did my placement at AFMA, the Association of Families of Alzheimer's Patients, alongside people who were losing someone still present and the relatives accompanying them. That is where I learned two things that have stayed with me: that almost nobody arrives able to say what is wrong, and that how someone is received in the first half hour decides whether they come back.

I have been registered with the Psychologists' Board of Lombardy, section A, since 2026. Since the same year I have been in specialist training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the school Il Ruolo Terapeutico: the clinical work I do is supervised, as that training requires.

How I work

I do not give advice and I do not set exercises. I ask questions, and what interests me most is what repeats: the same scenes, the same sentences, the same points at which a story gets stuck. The work consists of making that pattern visible while it is happening, because as long as it stays invisible it keeps deciding on our behalf.

It is a slow way of working. It does not promise results in a set number of sessions and it will never tell you what to do with your life. For some people that is exactly right; for others it is not, and in that case I prefer to say so at the first meeting and point them elsewhere.

Supervision and continuing training

I take part in a monthly supervision group and in clinical seminars through the academic year. In supervision, cases are discussed without any element that would allow a person to be identified: that is a rule, not a courtesy.
